Where it is

The sports hall of Middle School no. 30 “Grigorie Ghica Voievod” is at 23 Strada Lăptari Tei, in Sector 2, according to ProSport on February 11, 2009.

A hall from 2008

ProSport wrote that the hall was inaugurated in 2008 and has a stand for 150 spectators. In February 2009, the Sector 2 City Hall announced that the hall would bear the name of Marian Cozma. The handball player, a former student of the school, was killed on February 8, 2009, in Veszprém, Hungary.

The handball school

On September 8, 2009, the “Marian Cozma” Association and the Dinamo Sports Club inaugurated in the hall a handball school for children aged 6 to 14, presented as the first of its kind in Bucharest. The inauguration took place on the day Cozma would have turned 27. Initially, selection was made from among the school’s students, and later from other schools as well, ProSport and Adevărul write.

The sources found date from 2009. We found no current information on opening hours, public access or whether the handball school is still operating. Since it is a school hall, access is up to the school’s management.
